Michigan Fall Foliage Trips Set

The Steam Railroading Institute in Michigan has announced its lineup of fall foliage excursions. Trains will operate on Oct. 4 from Cadillac to Boyne Falls, on Oct. 11 from Petoskey to Fife Lake and on Oct. 18 from Mt. Pleasant to Cadillac.

All trips will depart at 10 a.m. and feature a one-hour side trip for an additional $20 that will run during the layover at the destination city.

The trip from Cadillac to Boyne Falls will take approximately two hours. Tickets are $79 per person plus a $5 processing fee.

During the four-hour layover a shuttle will operate between the boarding site and the Harvest Festival in downtown Boyne City. Another shuttle will take passengers to Boyne Mountain’s Skitoberfest. There is a $2 charge to ride the shuttle to the Harvest Festival.

The one-hour side trip from Boyne Falls will depart at 2 p.m.
