If you want to see skies that look like this during the Akron Railroad Club’s annual outing in Berea, you might want to get there at sunrise rather than stay until sunset.
Akron Railroad Club members will gather in Berea today (April 2) in southwest suburban Cleveland for the 12th annual Dave McKay Day.
The forecast for the day is a mixed bag. It appears that the morning and early afternoon will be favorable with partly cloudy skies and dry weather. We might even seen some limited sunshine.
But about a system is expected to move in during the middle of the afternoon and bring high winds, rain and possibly some snow.
The chance of rain will rise from 45 percent at 3 p.m. to 66 percent by 6 p.m. Stick around until about 8 p.m. and you might see some snow showers.
It will be chilly with the high temperatures in the middle 40s. But this is early April and we do live in Northeast Ohio.
During the 12 years that we’ve gathered in Berea in memory of the ARRC’s longest serving president, we’ve seen nearly the entire spectrum of weather.
This year, though, it appears that it will pay dividends to get to Berea early.
