PUCO OKs Grade Crossing Projects in 5 Counties

Grade crossing projects in five Ohio counties have been approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

PUCOICSX will install lights and gates at the Township Road 1101 crossing in Ashland County.

Also on the carrier’s agenda is updating circuitry and LED lights at the Kinnear Road crossing in Franklin County.

Ohio-Rail will install lights and gates at two crossings in Carroll County, while the Indiana & Ohio will do the same at crossings in Clinton and Hamilton counties.

The Kinnear Road project must be finished by January 2018, but the remaining projects will be completed by October.

Federal funding of projects is provided through the Ohio Rail Development Commission.
