PUCO OKs Ravenna Grade Crossing Project

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has approved a grade crossing upgrade in Ravenna on the route of the Akron Barberton Cluster Railway.

ABC will install active warning devices at its Cleveland Road crossing.

The project, which had earlier been approved by the Ohio Rail Development Commission, will use federal funds channeled through the state’s Grade Crossing Safety Fund.

By law projects funded that account cannot exceed $5,000 per project.
