Leaving the Kent Yard

An Erie Lackawanna Alco FA and Alco RS-3 are eastbound leaving the EL Kent yard in the late 1960s. This photo is from the north side of the tracks and not the more commonly photographed south side. Notice, also, the light tower, bridges and semaphore signal.

    If you look closely, you can see the bridge over the B&O main, and farther in the distance the old Lake Rockwell Road bridge that used to go over the Erie tracks, which now cross at grade. That light tower stood there until it was demolished a few years ago.
