Four Norfolk Southern crew members were injured Sunday night when two trains collided near Georgetown, Kentucky.

The crash occurred about 11 p.m. on the former Cincinnati, New Orleans & Texas Pacific Railway near CP Akers.

Authorities said one of the trains was stopped when it was struck by the other. News reports showed a fire at the scene with fire fighters reporting that diesel fuel and vegetable oil had spilled.

Nearby residents were ordered to evacuate as a precautionary measure, but were allowed to return to their home before dawn on Monday.
