Dayton Train Show to be Nov. 2-3

The 44th annual Dayton Train Show will be held Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 2-3) at the Fairgrounds and Event Center of Montgomery County at 645 Infirmary Road.

The show is sponsored by Division 3 of the National Model Railroad Association.

Last year’s event featured more than 400 vendor tables and drew 3,500 attendees.

Vendors will have for sale new and used model locomotives, rolling stock, and structures in every scale including G, O, S, HO, N and Z.

Also for sale will be hobby tools need for scenery making as well as supplies and books on various railroads.

There will be several operating layouts in various gauges. Some will be combined to create a large N-Trak modular layout.

Clinics will feature demonstrations by experienced modelers.

Admission is $8 per person with children 12 and under admitted free with a paid adult admission.

The show hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

A paid admission also is good for an entry in the hourly door-prize drawings. Prizes include such things as models, books, and videos. A child’s admission includes an entry for a special drawing for train sets to be given away.
