Here are today’s Penn Central memories. In the top image its June 1976 in Akron, which means that, technically, this is is a Conrail train.
But PC motive power in its PC lettering and marking lasted for quite a while after the New York Central and Pennsylvania railroads merged.
The bottom image was made in Alliance in July 1972. That makes it a true Penn Central photograph.
