With the State of Ohio having extended its stay at home order during the COVID-19 pandemic through May 29, the Akron Railroad Club has canceled its May meeting.
The extension of the stay home order means that many traditional Memorial Day events for this year will have to be scrapped or altered.
ARRC President Todd Dillon said it is possible the club may not be able to meet until fall, but it is taking it month by month.
The ARRC last met in February. Meetings for March and April were called off earlier.
The May program was to have been a salute to the Wheeling & Lake Erie by Jim Mastromatteo and Richard Antibus.
