R.J. Corman Acquires Pennsylvania Short Lines

R.J. Corman Railroad Group has acquired three short lines, including two based in Pennsylvania, and a transload service provider, the company has announced.

The latest additions are the 26.7-mile Owego & Harford in New York; the Lehigh Railway, which operates 56 miles of track in north central Pennsylvania owned by Norfolk Southern; and the 60-mile Luzerne & Susquehanna in Pennsylvania.

The three short lines collectively handle about 14,000 carloads annually.

“We’re excited to bring these short lines and related companies into the R. J. Corman family of companies and to continue the impeccable service they are known for by their customers,” Ed Quinn, president and CEO of R.J. Corman Railroad Group, said in a statement.
