OmniTRAX Names New CEO

Short line holding company OmniTRAX has named Dean Piacente as chief executive officer.

He will succeed Kevin Shuba on Feb. 1. Shuba has been appointed to another role with OmniTRAX parent company The Broe Group.

Piacente has worked for CSX as a commercial executive for more than 20 years and has more than three decades of experience in financial planning, analysis and expertise in the intermodal, industrial, chemical, energy and third-party logistics sectors across North America’s rail network.

At CSX he served as vice president of industrial products and VP of intermodal.

OmniTRAX operates four railroads in Ohio including the Newburgh & South Shore Railroad, Cleveland Port Railway, the Cleveland & Cuyahoga Railway, and the Northern Ohio & Western.
