Steam Saturday: Chasing SR 630

Southern Railway 2-8-0 No. 630 is a Consolidation type locomotive now owned by the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga.

For four years it hauled excursions in several eastern states as part of the 21st Century Steam program of Norfolk Southern.

On May 31, 2014, it operated on NS between Lexington, Kentucky, and Oneida, Tennessee, and here are a few of the photographer’s favorite images made that day.
