Still Carrying its Heritage

CSX SD50 No. 8595 is westbound in Akron on April 9, 1988. The locomotive was built in August 1984 as Baltimore & Ohio No. 8595. It is shown still wearing its Chessie System livery.

    8595 was the last locomotive delivered to Chessie System lettered for B&O and was supposed to be saved for the B&O Museum. However, change in management, change in plans. It was sold to LTEX last year and may or may not still exist.
