The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad has long offered various theme trains as a way to attract passengers who might not have ridden the train otherwise.
Its latest theme train is called Rods and Rails and involves fishing at Indigo Lake.
The train will depart from the Akron Northside Station on Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. The event includes a presentation about fishing techniques, wildlife and nature around Indigo Lake. Fishing equipment will be provided to those who don’t have it.
The train is scheduled to arrive at Indigo Lake at 11:30 a.m. Attendees will depart at 2:10 p.m. to return to Akron at 2:40 p.m.
