Guest speaker Jim Wrinn, editor of Trains magazine tells the Akron Railroad Club members about his early experiences with steam engines as a lad in North Carolina. Wrinn spoke at the Akron Railroad Club’s 75th anniversary banquet on April 23, 2011, at the Martin Center of the University of Akron.

What’s a banquet without technical difficulties? It took about 20 minutes for the ARRC braintrust to figure out how to get the sound to play throught the speakers of the music and image programs. Shown are (left to right) Peter Bowler, Craig Sanders and Todd Vander Sluis. Looking on is Marty Surdyk. Also lending a hand was Dave Beach.
