Railroad Memories
If you have had a passion about trains for any length of time, then chances are pretty good that you have some favorites memories about a particular train, a trip by train, or something else railroad related.
In this section of the Akron Railroad Club blog, we present some of your favorite railroad memories.
If you have a memory or two you would like to contribute, send it to csanders429@aol.com. Photographs with your essays are welcome and encouraged.

please, i sure hope you can help. this section is entitled railroad memories. i have lots of memories about trains, but I’m hoping you can help restore some lost memories. My great-grandfather was an engineer on the Big Four Railroad. His name was John Corbley. A great Irishman who lived in Berea with his wife Christina and about seven children. There was a terrible accident in 1900, in which John was scalded to death by an overturned steam engine. My brother and I are desperately looking for any info. on John Corbley. We do have the article from the Berea, ohio weekly paper dated Friday, Nov. 2, 1900. If you could look in any archive records for birth date, parents names, etc. (anything), I would be so very thankful. Because to me (us) it would keep are memories (through stories) alive, and more accurate. thanking you in advance, Donna Corbley
