Crest Tower had long since closed and Conrail was in its final year of independent operation when this image was made in Crestline on Aug. 15, 1999. The train, which is probably TV 6, is operating on the Indianapolis Line headed toward Cleveland. Today CSX operates this route and has renamed it the Mt. Victory Subdivision.
A westbound Conrail stack train rumbles through Berea in a view made from Berea Tower. I had permission to be on the property to gather information for an article for Trains magazine. The date is Oct. 8, 1994.
Conrail C40-8W No. 6069 leads an eastbound intermodal train through Alliance in the fall of 1998. The train is on the connection from the Cleveland Line to the Fort Wayne Line and this is the classic Alliance view of an eastbound taking this well-traveled path. Today these tracks are owned by Norfolk Southern and the major of eastbounds coming into town on the Cleveland Line use this same connection.

Conrail GP40-2 No. 3400 is on the point of an eastbound intermodal train near Alliance on June 12, 1980. The unit despite its road dirt is still new having been built four months earlier. It would later go to join the Norfolk Southern motive power roster with roster number 3068.
Here is some legit tagging from May 1978. In 1975 Clipper Express let the West Town Community Youth Art Center of Chicago paint one of its TOFC trailers. There were several other Clipper Express trailers painted with various themes, too. This unit was on Conrail TV 98 eastbound on the former Erie Lackawanna in Akron.
