Chesapeake & Ohio GP15T No. 1522 is in Akron in February 1983. The unit was built in 1982 and later served on the CSX motive power roster.

In Newton Falls in the Early CSX Era

The wayback machine has us in the early CSX era in Newton Falls. GP15T No. 1523 leads an eastbound in June 1988. The unit was built for the Chesapeake & Ohio in December 1982. Note the variation in motive power liveries of this lash-up.

Early in the CSX Era

It’s early in the CSX era and we’ve paying a visit in June 1988 to the New Castle Subdivision in Kent. This eastbound manifest freight is reflective of the times with a CSX GP15T on the point and two trailing units painted in the livery of a CSX predecessor. The middle unit is wearing Chessie System colors.
