Berea Train Show is This Weekend

The 48th Great Berea Train Show will be held Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 1 and 2) at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds.

Admission is $8 per person with a two-day passing available for $10. Children under age 18 are admitted free with the purchase of an adult admission.

More than 700 vendor and display tables will be set up over building offering for display or sale various railroad and model railroad artifacts. Several operating model railroad layouts will be in operation.

Five model railroad clinics will be offered on Saturday and three on Sunday offering tips on layout scenery techniques and how to care for and maintain locomotives and rolling stock.

The entrance to the fairgrounds is located at 19201 Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights. Parking is free and food vendors will be on site.

The show is presented by North Coast Division (Division 4) of the National Model Railroad Association. The division covers Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Erie and Huron counties in Ohio.

The Great Berea Train Show will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Middleburg Heights-Berea.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Admission is $8 with children under 18 admitted free with a paid adult admission. A two-day pass is available for $10.

The show features 700 vendor and display tables with dealers selling model railroad supplies and equipment as. There will also be sellers of railroad memorabilia and railroad historical societies. Several model railroad layouts will be in operation.

The event is sponsored by the North Coast Division (Division 4) of the Mid-Central Region of the National Model Railroad Association. This year marks the 47th year of the event although the 2020 show was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2020 Berea Train Show Canceled

The 2020 Great Berea Train show has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show, typically held in early October, will next be held on Oct. 2 and 3, 2021, at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea.

In a message posted online, the show management said it weighed all of the pros and cons and how those would affect vendors, attendees, and everyone else involved before making the decision to cancel.

The 2021 show will be the 47th year the event has been held.

The Berea train show is presented by the North Coast Division of the Mid-Central Region of the National Model Railroad Association.
