Pa. Short Line Pays Tribute to Military, Veterans

A Pennsylvania short line railroad company has repainted two locomotives to pay tribute to U.S. military members and veterans.

The North Shore Railroad Company & Affiliates dedicated the units on May 17 during a ceremony on the Lycoming Valley Railroad.

LVRR 9052 is a veterans unit, while LVRR 9050 is a memorial tribute unit.

The 9052 is painted in camouflage dark sandstone and is illustrated with the shadows of three soldiers saluting the U.S. flag. Painted in battleship gray, the LVRR 9050 is illustrated with the shadows of two soldiers paying their respects to a fallen comrade.
