UP Big Boy to Begin 2nd Tour on Aug. 29

Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 will launch a tour of 10 states over eight weeks starting Aug. 29.

The “Heartland of America Tour” will see the locomotive travel from its base in Cheyenne, Wyoming, through Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The 4014 will be on display on the following dates: Sept. 8 in Rochelle, Illinois; Oct. 6 in Houston, and Oct. 10-11 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Route details and times will be announced at a later date.
