JO Tower in downtown Akron was known for being part of a building adjacent to the tracks of the Pennsylvania, Baltimore & Ohio, and Erie Railroads. It also must have been a good place to watch trains if you were fortunate enough to be able to spend some time there. Shown above is an eastbound Penn Central train in March 1975. Note how the color of the tower exterior matches the caboose on the rear. This appears to be a former PRR car so the correct term to be used here is cabin car.
